Water Supply To Harod Spring

Client: Israel Nature and Parks Authority
About the project: The Harod spring derives from an ancient cave down Mount Gilboa, called "Gideon Cave" (named after Gideon The Judge).
Over the years, the spring has faded in the cave until it was impossible to pump the water into the large pool that was the symbol of the site.
Some attribute the decline because of the spring to drilling in the area.
The aim of the project was to revive the spring and adapt the canals and pools to the changes.
Planning of the project included dams and a water spin system in the wading ponds and canals.
On the cave from which the water derives is written in the book of judges about the test conducted by Gideon to his warriors, when he asked them to drink from the water of the spring.
The project was successfully completed and operating
